Where there's a will. . .

When pretty hairdresser Delaney Shaw returned home to Truly, Idaho, for the reading of her stepfather's will, she planned on paying her respects and getting out of town. But it seems the will has some unexpected stipulations-like the one that says if Delaney wants her inheritance she needs to stay put and have nothing to so with sexy Nick Allegrezza. . .for an entire year!

There's no way

Ten years ago, Nick had swept Delaney off her feet and onto his Harley, and that's when she really let her down her Hair! Back then, he was a love-'em-and-leave-'em man, and Delaney learned the hard way that she was just a fling. But Nick is as irresistible as ever. And when the ladies at Tuesday night Bingo see Nick and Delaney making after-hours whoopee through the window of a local beauty parlor, Delaney knows it's time to decide if Nick I truly, madly the man of her heart.

As much as I love Rachel's Chinook series, I'd have to say that Truly Madly Yours is one of my favorites of her books. I loved it when I first read it years ago and it is one of the books I constantly skimmed through to find my favorite parts. I've never fully re-read it until now and I am so glad I did.

Truly Madly Yours has a lot of things I love best about romances. It has the classic second chance romance between Nick Allegrezza and Delaney Shaw. It also has a crazy, whirlwind romance between Lisa and Louie, although we only see a little bit of their relationship. I wish there was more of them, but I'll come back to them in a later post. Ok, back to Nick and Delaney. I love the playfulness of their relationship. They say they despise each other as they throw insults and tease each other as if they were in grade school. Deep down, we all know that they are fighting the attraction. They are thrown back together thanks to Henry and his will. Henry had ulterior motives behind his will and the fact that Nick knew about this, yet he still pursued Delaney, helped his bad boy persona. He was up to no good! I loved watching Nick and Delaney together. The bickering and teasing between the two of them was fantastic. That's what I adore about this book. It is just a fun book to read in a day. Just like the first time, I got lost in the world of Truly, Idaho. I love the characters. Not just the main characters, but also the background characters Rachel created for this small town. I'm so not a small town kind of girl, but if I was, I'd want to live in Truly. Hey, Nick and Louie have to have some cute cousins. Right?

Thanks for coming back to my second week of The Gibson Project. I have a couple small announcements before ending this post. A huge thank you to Avon Romance for donating TWO of Rachel Gibson's books for me to giveaway. Please stay tuned of that announcement this week. Also I may be skipping a Monday here and there for other posts (i.e. cover reveals, etc.). Instead of ending on a certain date, I've decided that my new goal is to complete my re-read by New Year's Day.

Happy Reading!
