From USA Today bestselling author Darcy Burke comes a sexy and emotional family saga about seven siblings who reunite in a small Oregon town to fulfill their brother's dying wish ... and find love in unexpected places.

Fed up with her self-imposed single life, successful event planner Sara Archer heads to a bar for a night of dancing … and bumps into Dylan Wescott, the high school crush she hasn’t seen in years. A little harmless flirting leads to a hot, completely uncharacteristic one-night stand; but when she wakes up alone, Sara knows her life is too complicated for a relationship and there can’t be a repeat.

Dylan, a divorced, ex-military construction contractor, limits himself to casual flings—his failed marriage proves he’s better off alone anyway—but he can’t stop dreaming about Sara. And when his firm is hired to oversee the renovation project run by the Archer siblings, Dylan and Sara are unable to resist their explosive chemistry.

But when their secret affair grows beyond “friends with benefits” and neither is willing to admit they want more, family drama and emotional scars may ruin their chance at a love they believed was only in their dreams.

Darcy Burke's Only In My Dreams is a heartwarming story of finding love when you least expect it. Sara Archer and Dylan Wescott, both strong characters in their own right, are reeling from events in their lives that shook them to their core. The unexpected death of her brother sends Sara home in a time of turmoil. Watching her mother barely functioning and her siblings scattered, Sara believes that she has to put her own happiness on the back burner while her family heals. Dylan has never known how wonderful love is. From a young age, he was always shuffled back and forth between his divorced parents. Years later, his own divorce forces Dylan to believe that he is happier being single. As Sara heals from the loss of her brother and as Dylan learns of his ex-wife's upcoming nuptials, both have to stop and look at the path they are going down. They learn that they have to listen to their own hearts and they have to listen to those around them. Only then will they be open to love and a future together.

Darcy Burke sets the tone for what I think will be a very down to earth series with one somber event. Right after her characters Sara and Dylan reconnect in the beginning chapters of Only In My Dreams, the book is rocked with an unexpected death. You don't meet the character that dies, but you feel the big impact that his death leaves behind. Through his death, you get to watch his siblings look at the world in a new light. Characters that lived at home suddenly need to spread their wings. And characters that lived away from home find their way back for different reasons, some of which remain unknown. The family dynamic that Darcy creates is almost overwhelming at times. There are a lot of characters that make an appearance in Only In My Dreams, some of which will come into play in later books. However, the sense of family in this book is amazing. Although they don't know how to express it at times, there is so much love in both families. I can't wait to see how Sara's family moves forward in the next books and I hope we see more of Dylan's family. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent reading Darcy's Only In My Dreams. It is a very heartfelt story that made me smile when I finished it. I'm looking forward to the next book and seeing Kyle's transformation.

Darcy Burke is the USA Today bestselling author of hot, action-packed historical and sexy, emotional contemporary romance. Darcy wrote her first book at age 11, a happily-ever-after about a swan addicted to magic and the female swan who loved him, with exceedingly poor illustrations.

A native Oregonian, Darcy lives on the edge of wine country with her guitar-strumming husband, their two hilarious kids-who each seem to have inherited the writing gene in some form-and two Bengal cats. In her "spare" time Darcy is a serial volunteer enrolled in a 12-step program where one learns to say "no," but she keeps having to start over. Her happy places are Disneyland and Labor Day weekend at the Gorge.
