Annalise “Leesa” Avalon never realized that one sentence could change her life until one of her students revealed his crush—and within twenty-four hours she finds herself under fire. After a grueling investigation that turns her life upside down, she steals away to Peaceful Harbor, Maryland, with a new identity to try to pull herself back together and figure out her next step.

From the outside, Cole Braden lives a charmed life. He’s a top orthopedic surgeon with a thriving practice, strong family ties, and friends he adores. But there’s a lonely spot inside Cole that no one can see. He has an enormous heart—and a painful past—but the desire to love and be loved is too strong to ignore.

A chance encounter brings Leesa and Cole together, and the attraction is immediate and intense. But a relationship is the last thing Leesa needs—and the only thing Cole wants. Long talks, heated moments, and deep connections are hard to resist, but the harder Cole tries, the more Leesa pulls away. Cole might truly be the right man for Leesa, but is Leesa the right woman for him?

I have been looking forward to reading Surrender My Love for a few weeks now. When it was time to finally dive into it, I felt like I was being welcomed home and into the arms of the loving Braden family. Time to fall in love with the next Braden boy! Let me tell you, Cole Braden did not disappoint. And of course, Annalise was the strong-willed woman that only a Braden boy can fall in love with. If I were to describe their relationship (and the book as a whole) with one word, it would be trust. Of course, trust could be used for any number of Melissa's romances, but it runs strong throughout Surrender My Love. Both Cole and Annalise are having issues with trust. Cole's ex-girlfriend not only broke his trust, but also betrayed her own family. Still reeling from it, Cole protected his heart by burying himself in his work. It is only when he crosses paths with Annalise that he finally comes out for air and begins to see life again. Poor Annalise knows heartbreak and the loss of trust like nobody's business. After being falsely accused for something she did not do, Annalise finds herself in a new town with a new identity. Learning to trust those around her and needing to face her past is the only way she'll be able to heal and move forward. Together, they learn that love with worth the fight and how to trust again.

Surrender My Love was another Melissa Foster winner. I loved the mix of sweet with sensual. It had everything I've come to love with Melissa's writing. It was a quick and sweet romance between who fantastic characters. I love every moment they spent together. I'm really looking forward to everything Melissa has in store for her readers this year.
